A disastrous burger and beer emoji will be fixed today by Google’s Android 8.1 release.

An outrage of this magnitude wasn’t expected over the emoji design of a hamburger to the extent the CEO of Google has to do something about it. Today or will we say… the year 2017, the burger thingy global horror has been put to bed with the release of the Android Oreo v8.1 that fixes this.

The update also adds a new beer emoji that sees the froth foam remain after the beer has been drank half.

It looked like this before the 8.1 update

After the update here’s what it looks like:

The latest emoji of the Hamburger now goes with Microsoft’s approach of the patty, cheese, tomorrow, lettuce. This is …. To us way better and acceptable though we commend LG for hold the tomato.

Android Oreo 8.1 is going to be rolled out today 05:12:2017 depending on your location in the world and it comes along with the lightweight ‘Go’ edition that the manufacturers select to install on low specification mobile phones.

So, apart form the emergency emoji updates, 8.1 supports Visual Core Image processing chip that is found on the new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, allowing 3rd Party developers access camera improvements on the HDR+ feature. The update will be available for all Pixel phones as well as the Pixel C tablet, the Nexus 5X, and the Nexus 6P.
