WhatsApp extends deadline

A third \’blue check\’ ✔️✔️✔️ in your sent WhatsApp message could become possible soon

It is possible WhatsApp are going to introduce a new feature soon. This feature is one that will increase security, as they add a third check – or blue check mark – that will be in addition to the two existing ones.

What is WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is chat platform where users exchange data and information. They can message each other, send and receive multimedia, make phone and video calls.

WhatsApp\’s current feature

When you successfully send data to another use via WhatsApp, you get a grey check sign stamped on your message.

When the message delivers a second grey check sign is stamped beside the first one, making them two.

When the other user\’s phone opens up and the WhatsApp opens, your conversation with the user opens, the the two check signs there turn blue.

WhatsApp\’s new feature

Many of us have taken a screenshot in a group chat in the past, whether that is instructions to get somewhere or just a funny message, but Infobae report that a third blue check will appear on WhatsApp when a screenshot is taken in the not-too-distant future.

What\’s the idea behind this you might ask? Well, it is to prevent cyber threats and raise users\’ awareness of the privacy of messages and information that a person chooses to share on the app.

If the third blue check be brought in, with this not having yet been confirmed by WhatsApp, it will warn people that a screenshot has been taken, as well as issuing a warning about sharing information such as bank details
